A 2nd post of 1940′s WWII fun-time in Haworth, West Yorkshire. This annual event brings war enthusiasts and those who just like to dress up in uniforms and vintage clothing to come out and have a laugh.
In sharp contrast to a recent post full of muddy boots in a field, this post is an intro set of shots taken at an annual 1940′s weekend in the village of Haworth; one of West Yorkshire’s most popular tourist villages because of its Bronte heritage.
Here are some detail shots of what people were wearing on the day. Loads of vintage and war aficionados don full dress of the time and just wander through the streets mingling with less inclined to dress up. Vintage cars, jeeps, entertainment, weapons and the like were abound. More pictures in another post later on.
